Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile / web application Junior Nurse Exam Practice (准看護師試験過去問) (the “App”) handles user information. Please read this policy carefully before using the App.

1. Information We Collect

The App stores only the following information on its server (Supabase).

In addition, the following information is stored only on the user’s device and is not sent to any server:

• Listening-mode preferences (playback speed, pause interval, auto-advance, etc.)
• Local audio file download status

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information such as name, email address, or phone number
• Device data such as location, camera, photos, contacts, or microphone input
• Device identifiers (IDFA, Advertising ID, etc.)
• Behavioral analytics or tracking data
• Payment information

The App does not provide an account registration form, and there is no screen to enter an email address or password.

3. Purpose of Use

We use collected information solely for the following purposes:

• Storing and displaying study history (progress, accuracy, review-target extraction)
• Synchronizing data across multiple devices
• Maintaining proper functionality of the App

We do not use the collected information for advertising, sale to third parties, or any other purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services to provide its features. Each service is operated under its own privacy policy.

We do not share information with any third parties beyond the services listed above.

5. Data Location and Retention

• Data is stored in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in the Tokyo region (ap-northeast-1).
• Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete data stored on the server. To request deletion, please contact us using the information in section 10.

6. Data Deletion

If you wish to have your data (answer history and handle) deleted, please contact the email address below and include your current handle (e.g., はるか-5523). We will delete the data promptly after verification.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 or older as a general rule. Users under 13 should use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). However, because the App currently does not perform user authentication, anyone who knows your handle (user ID) may be able to read or modify your data. Please keep your handle private.

A future release will introduce access control (e.g., Google Sign-In).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as needed. Significant changes will be announced within the App or in the project’s GitHub repository.
